The abundance of Western King Prawn (Merlicertus latisulcatus) in the clean, nutrient-rich waters of South Australia and the sparsely populated Spencer Gulf region, is the ideal location to fulfil the ambition of creating the world’s most sustainable “Spencer Gulf King Prawn Fishery”.

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) catch area 57.

AUSSEA combines the fishermen’s unprecedented management techniques with model on-board freezing and production principals to establish, what we believe, sets the benchmark for premium quality Australian Wild caught MSC certified sustainable prawns.

Our key successes centre upon important guidelines that we stand by:-
1. Premium quality product

2. Direct supply from the primary fishermen

3. Exceptional customer service

4. Intimate product knowledge

5. Sustainable fishing practises to maintain reliable supply.

Marketing and Sales
AUSSEA’s marketing operation is widespread, exporting product to various countries, including the EU, Asia, and the USA.

We are regarded as a major domestic wholesaler of prawns and apply the same quality control principles to our local customers.

Our Port Lincoln facility is an Australian government DAF approved export establishment. Specific achieved standards meet the terms for approved arrangements under the Australian Federal Export Control Act which is inspected and reviewed annually.

EU approved
USFDA approved
HACCP Approved arrangement
MSC Chain of Custody certified (Independently audited).

Our Adelaide trading division and local distribution depot is positioned within the “Safcol” Wholesale fresh fish market. At this location we cater for domestic trade sales only. Products are on hand for pick up or refrigerated courier delivery and interstate transport can be organised.

Product shipments can be despatched by air freight of up to 1000kg, reaching the overseas customers in a matter of days or other larger sea shipments, packed in a 20’ FCL, approximately 12,500kg, from 6-8weeks.

We strongly advise that immediately the product is landed at the proposed destination, the recommended “minimum” frozen temperature -18c should be continued and maintained throughout the entire cold chain.
